From 2009 until today The Wine Vault of the Desert has assembled a very strong and experienced team for exceptional wine storage services – and is headed up by Jack Dixon.
Jack Dixon is the Owner and General Manager of the Wine Vault and has been involved in ownership, sales and management for a wide range of medium to large-sized companies for more than 40 years and has extensive experience in product planning, advertising, business development, logistics, marketing and warehouse supervision.
Jack’s educational background includes attending Indiana University, in Bloomington, Indiana where he majored in Radio & TV Communications and Business Administration. For almost 20 years Jack lived in Germany, cultivating his passion for French, German and Italian wines. During his business travels throughout Europe, he visited more than 150 vintners, creating a personal wine collection of over 1,500 bottles from some of Europe’s finest wine producers.
Jack’s current hobbies include golfing, music, movies, watching sports and trying new restaurants.
Matthew (Matt) Watkins –
Matt has lived in the Coachella Valley since the age of 4. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Cal State – San Bernardino. Matt served in the U.S. Navy for five years, mainly stationed on aircraft carriers. He has worked on-and-off at the Wine Vault for the past six years, the last two on a full-time basis. Matt’s duties at the Wine Vault include inventory control, warehouse maintenance and personnel management.
Matt has been married to Gabrielle Watkins since 2013 and they have a son, John Utah, who was born in 2020. His main hobby is golfing and he also enjoys travelling, grilling and cooking whenever he gets the chance.
