The Wine Vault of the Desert has within its existing infrastructure all of the components necessary for exceptional wine storage services – and is headed up by the experienced team of Jack Dixon and Ralph Iannuzzi.
Jack Dixon is the President and General Manager of the Wine Vault and has been involved in ownership, sales and management for a wide range of medium to large-sized companies for more than 35 years and has extensive experience in product planning, business development, logistics, marketing and warehouse supervision.
Jack’s educational background includes attending Indiana University, in Bloomington, Indiana where he majored in Radio & TV Communications and Business Administration. For almost 20 years Jack lived in Germany, cultivating his passion for French, German and Italian wines. During his business travels throughout Europe, he visited more than 150 vintners, creating a personal wine collection of over 1,500 bottles from some of Europe’s finest wine producers.
Ralph Iannuzzi is the Vice-President and Director of the Wine Vault. Ralph grew to appreciate great food and wine early on, first helping to hand crank the grape press for his grandfather’s “red blend” crafted each year in the basement of the family home as well as assisting his grandmother make the “best ever” homemade raviolis on her dining room table. With a father in the deli business, he naturally gravitated to deli and restaurant jobs during high school and college.
A career followed in the corporate world as a real estate site locator and lease manager for industry leaders in the billboard, telecommunications and the coin laundry business. Following this he developed, operated and owned several small businesses and eventually returned to his first love, the food industry.
Ownership of a wholesale food service company, catering to institutions and a chain of retail / restaurant pasta shops in the San Francisco Bay Area, further expanded his expertise in both the wholesale and retail aspects of the food & wine industry.
As the Director of the Wine Vault, Ralph works closely with our members as well as our restaurant, country club, retailer, winery and distributor friends and partners to help promote the appreciation of great food & fine wine in our community.
